Watch my video on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sztmmg7FJLs Online log: http://www.clublog.org/charts/?c=5N0OCH I was in Nigeria to set up a new short wave radio station for Voice Of Nigeria. I was QRV as often as work permitted it on all bands mostly in CW but also some SSB and RTTY. I was active from 23cm-160m in CW, RTTY, SSB, PSK31, JT65 and JT6M. I might have to return to Nigeria and will be on air with my new call sign 5N7Q (in 2010 its 5N50Q).
I am using the broadcasting antennas which consists of fixed arrays of 16 stocked dipoles into direction North, another array into West. The antenna is actually only for 9. 19MHz but performing great from 12m-40m.
The picture above shows one of the largest HF antennas in the world that I could use since 17th of October. Its a fully rotatable curtain antenna with 32 stocked dipoles. Each 16 for lowbands (6. 16MHz) and highbands (16.26MHz). Its 80m high, more than 20dBi gain on each band, weight 280 tons, rotated by 20kW motors, completely remote controlled. Other activity was as 5N0EME on 2m, 70cm and 23cm in JT65 and some CW where I made 211 QSOs. Also I was QRV as 5N0HQ, together with Ivan OM3CGN (now 5N7M). Furthermore I was active from Adamawa State as 5N0OCH/5N7. I QSL all QSOs 100% via DL3OCH (bureau or direct). All direct QSLs are answered. Please include sufficient postage and SAE, otherwise your QSL will be answered via bureau. Last modified: 2011-01-21 23:06:11, 2166 bytes fetched
