Calendar 04 : 18 April 2010 .QRV 08.00am local/23.00UTC Prince Philip's Park Second Beach The field event to be activated by the NBWDX Dxers' group to be held at the 'Prince Philip's Park'.An extraordinary field-day which also in conjuction with world's 'Amateur Radio Day'.The NBWDX group will allow the new Dxers and the 'B' licence holders cum SWLs' to experience and enjoy the fun to expose and QRV on HFs with fellow hams the world over. In weeks to come,please take note the group will also activate 'maritime mobile' for the first time,also to first time activation to one of the atolls around also.The location about 20km westward off the nearest islands near Kota Kinabalu. Second DXpedition also expected to the first week of May 2010,the location on an isolated private resort by the seaside village of Kampong Binsulok Membakut near Beaufort town, about 80km South West from the city.Expected to go at grand scale,Dxers group from Brunei,Peninsular Malaysia and some from abroads (pending confirmation) are expected to join DXpedition.Another stepping stones for the NBWDXers group world's recognition. Calendar 01 :January 16 to 17 2010 Crocker Range Dxpedition The Highlands Dxpedition at 'Crocker Range' a jointly organised event from the MCMC the licensing authority, club like BARC and SARS as well number of ham enthusiasts and SWLs gave their overwhelming support.The main event are spearheaded by NBWDX groups, to activating for the first time on January 16 to 17 2010.This group also comsposed of hams from East Malaysia,West Malaysia,and Brunei.Operation is expected to be multiband and multi mode.Crocker Range is the highest point which is accessible with an elevation of 1,800 metre ASL situated at a remote interior of Sabah just a two hour drive about 90km away from the bustling city of Kota Kinabalu.It is within the National Park Nature reserves area, very rich in bio diversity of floras and faunas and also home of the popular Borneo wild slipper orchids which are in abundance.This Dxpedition also the first in Malaysia to be organised to high altitude and abnormal condition.Temperature at night might dropped to the brink point of freezing. Since there are no public amenities to facilitate with,we are well prepared to bringing all the neccessities we could have and that inclusive of DXing equipments, camping gears etc .
