I have been a ham since 1961, first licensed as KN0KNN in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. I subsequently upgraded to K0KNN. The FCC changed my call to W9MOA when I moved to Illinois in 1969, and I allowed it to change to AC9S when I upgraded to Extra in 1979 (or so). My primary interests are DX, contests, and general rag chewing. I am the contact VE for testing in Bloomington, Illinois and co-teach a Technician class each year at the local Community College. I have retired from an IT career at a major insurance company and my wife and I spend a significant amount of time with our 4 grandchildren.
