Hello radio friends,

The heart of my amateur station is the old Vibroplex "bug." When propagation is good I enjoy QRP. If you worked me on low power, I commend you for your patience and operating skills. I tend to stay away from South Beach because people mistake me for Sean Connery or Antonio Banderas. This is very embarrassing to me and them. Jodie Foster keeps calling me trying to make "contact" but I am too busy and she does not work CW. When propagation is bad or during contests I go back to my other hobby of alligator wrestling in the Everglades swamp. I am 68 years old, but still feel like I am 67. I always hope to find signals indicating extra-terrestrial intelligence. However; it is even better when I find radio amateurs from our own planet who have a good sense of humor. I have been known to fall asleep during long transmissions even if I am doing the sending. I can still climb my 40 ft tower, the trouble is coming down. Last time the XYL had to bring my lunch up there and talk me down.
