Worked for Denver & Rio Grande Western RR as Telephone/Telegraph Communications Engineer 1965-1973 Colorado and Utah. Experience as landline telegrapher, Wire Chief.

Upgraded to Amateur Extra Class 1968. Active in ARRL NTS Colorado Section/Twelfth Region/Pacific Area/TCC 1968-1975.

Acquired FCC Commercial Radiotelegraph 2nd Class Opr Certificate 1968. Other amateur calls held 1967-1978 W7EMS W7JXK KL7IJZ. Moved to Alaska 1975.

Worked as CW radiotelegraph operator and technician RCA Coastal Station WKR Nome, Alaska (now closed)1975-1984. Qualified for FCC Commercial Radiotelegraph First Class Certificate 1976, Anchorage, Alaska. Acquired FCC First Class Radiotelephone/Life GROL, Nome, Alaska 1978. Acquired original issue Class "A" Amateur callsign AL7N in Nome 1978.

Employed by RCA/Pacific Telecomm as Earth Station technician, Nome, Alaska until 1987. Bid on and transferred to Alascom Fairbanks as telecommunications technician 1987.

Retired 2/6/2009 from AT&T Alascom in Fairbanks as Telecomm Technician, Circuit Provisioning and Station Tech-In-Charge, AT&T Alascom Fairbanks Station.
