QSL’ing Policy @ 2010/01/01Dear OM, The recently approved Spanish laws, regulated by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, and controlled by the State Secretariat for Telecommunications and Information Society, establishes that spanish callsigns which prefixes starts with EG, EH, AM, AN and AO are now excluded and forbidden of being used from high competitiveness contests. Due to this fact, spanish OM’s are now migrating contest callsigns to new ones. Spanish hams are aware that this represent a nuisance for both local OM’s and foreign correspondents, but “c’est la vie”. We might not being agree with that laws, but we should obey them. So, in terms of QSL confirmation, all QSL’s received will be processed, but on different ways. Those received, at most, upon 28th February 2010 will be processed manually by the same way they arrived (either via bureau or direct). QSL’s received after the noted date will not be confirmed by paper QSL but by LoTW (Logs of The World). If you are interested in double check the spanish callsign regulations and rules, please enter the Ministry site following the next link: http://www.mityc.es/telecomunicaciones/Espectro/radioaficionados/Paginas/Solicitud_indicativos.aspx Thank your very much for your patience and comprehension. 73’s de EA1HET (ex-AN1R, now ED1K)
AN1R was the Contest Callsign of EA1HET.
