In March of the year 1961, I was born in the beautiful small town Landau in the palatinate. Under the circumstance of growing up under a 3 element Beam, a Cubical quad and some VHF/UHF antennas, playing in the house right beside a Globe King station (500W AM), and later a Drake TR-4 from my father, DJ3XM - "the transmitting Gas - Station from Landau", it was a short step to become a Ham - operator. Since 1981, I am licensed. 10 years, I didn't do any "business" by lack of time. Through the change of the license conditions, I am since October 2003 back "ON AIR". From the early days I am licensed, I am a Member of the DARC - OV Landau. The Homepage I recommend to everybody. The tradition "transmitting Gas - Station" I didn't continue by the choice of my occupation. After the high school diploma and the training as machine locksmith, I have been sailing as a "Off-Shore locksmith" (TOA) 2 years with "Hamburg - Südamerikanische Dampfschifffahrtsgesellschaft". I've been studying engineering at the FH in Flensburg. After the successful conclusion, I decided on a "Land job", and made my way in the engineering, installation and construction of powerplants. Since 2007-04-21 I have the US - General license. W4MHP.
