I have brought all the cards that have been received directly, with me to Zambia. I am spending my evenings filling in QSL cards, and filling the envelopes. (16 June: ALL CARDS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED!!) These cards will be mailed in the middle of July when I am in South Africa again. If you have send a card, PLEASE DO NOT resend, until maybe end of September, but email me first to find out if your card has been sent.

Thanks for your patience. As you can see I have a manager for my new operation as 9J2RI. He WILL NOT answer cards for EL8RI, and any cards for this call, sent to him, will be destroyed. The above address, via ZS6RI is only address for EL8RI cards.

The new P.O.Box is working fine, and I'm getting reports from home that the cards are arriving fast and furious. Apparently also stacks of BURO cards.

I will be back home mid March, and will attempt to catch up on the QSL's then. It's not easy, working the way I do. I will probably get a QSL manager for my next activation (Wherever that will be).

Mid February 2010

I left Liberia on 30 January 2010. I have finished my contract there and will probably NOT return.

QSL's received direct until mid December have been answered. There are quite a few waiting at home at the moment, and they will be answered when I'm home in June 2010.

All QSO's have been uploaded to Logbook Of The World.

I will do buro cards sometime this year.

At the moment I have no antennas up. I HOPE to be QRV again before I leave, but it will depend on whether I get chance to operate in my busy schedule in the last while I have here.

I am QRV from Liberia again. Have 100W from IC-706, and my Bencher paddle, and a big Vectronics tuner. Also have a multiband antenna which I will try and erect early next week.

I will only be QRV for one more month from here, then QRT from Liberia.

I will be off the air from 13 December 2009 until 3 January 2010.

NO activity in this time. Any operation as EL8RI in this time will be a pirate.

I will be back in Liberia, and hopefully QRV again from 3 January 2010.

Active again after a period of no radio.

At this stage only small QRP rig that gives 5W on 40, 30 and 20m. Will play with dipoles and other wire antennas for the next month or two. Will then bring bigger radio along.

I've been operating mostly on 30m CW, with some 20m thrown in as well.
