F1VJT’s beacon
This is a simple 10 meter beacon based on a TTL oscillator and one PIC 16F84. The first version was very simple, the oscillator exciting directly the antenna by one relay: one great problem, the TTL oscillator are rich in harmonics, I mesured strongs signals in aviations, military and professional VHF band…. not very good, my location is near the airport and I wouldn’t create interference. This version offer more power without harmonics. I found an old Ericcson TX Pager in 11 meter band, I take only the PA module without the Xtal oscillator. The CW generator is with a 16F84 PIC,the original shematic is from IK0WRB (Thank you!). The original version working on 26.685 MHz and about 5 Watt, after modification the frequency is 28.3226 and the power is about 0.8 Watts. Years ago I receive 511 from USAwith the first beacon (10 mW), an OM wrote me an e-mail with the signal report. simply great! I think is not necessary more power, with good propagation condition the 10 meter band is fantastic. It working 24/24, it’s powered by a 12Volt power supply. At the moment beacon is in my shack is JN33BC, my city is Hyeres, in the south east part of France. Actually beacon work on 40 cm veicular antenna placed in my balcony, at soon I shall install in other site (JN23) for better signal propagation. Please contact me by e-mail if you heard my beacon. 04/2012: upgrade to 1.8 Watts, report from New Zealand (tkank you ZL2IFB!)

F1VJT ECHOLINK 29 MHz Transponder
I have alsoo a ECHOLINK and FRN connexions, my node number is 198079. I installed a 29 MHz transponder connected with my basesation in UHF band. It transmit the CW beacon every 5 minutes. I use a cb radio TTI TCB660 modified combined with a MOTOROLA GM950 on remote link (JN23XE) , at home I have a MOTOROLA GM360 (JN33BC). My other node on FRN system it's placed in my office and I use one mobile ICOM IC-F410 (JN33BA). All links are connected 24/24, 7/7, I supervised all every time. My PCs running on UNIX system like UBUNTU 10.04 with WINE (Windows emulator). The QRGs are: 431.400 MHz 88.5 Hz At home, QRL and remote site, omnidirectional antennas, power about 10 Watts. 29.510 MHz CSQ in the remote site, homemade EH Star antenna, 20 Watts, squelch is setting about to -110 dB. If you heard my 10 meter transponder, please send me a mail.
