Hi,
My name is Patrick and i am an ham bands listener. I listen mainly SSB, CW and in recent months WSPR (http://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT) I encourage you to try this mode; It's almost magical the distance traveled by a signal less of 5w and often some mwatts. To be convinced, just check wspr spot (http://wsprnet.org/drupal/wsprnet/spots) !! - my receiver: DRAKE R8B
- my antenna system: 2x Wellbrook ALA100 (active vertical square loop) at right angle : http://www.wellbrook.uk.com/pdf/ALA100B1.pdf. Each antenna is made of a wire of 18 meters long hidden in a tree. The result is equal and often better than with a dipole or with my EndFed (from PAR Elec.) and i get a nice confort of use from 80 meters to 10 meters all over the horizon. I love to experiment with and improve my antenna system.
.
It is a great pleasure to receive your paper qsl in my mail box. Especially if you are barefoot, using a vertical or wired antenna or emitting from oceania.
Really thanks to all for your contribution to my hobby and special mention to VE3LYC (Cezar), VK8PDX (Craig)and K8GI (Rick). Best 73, Patrick, F-59706 Clipperton DX Club member #1400 Last modified: 2012-05-24 10:50:37, 6420 bytes cached
