The walk went well also did the station few problems at first

but they was sorted out by the team and friends from the club.

The Cards have got to be printed yet when we do they will be sent out to you  .

The station will be at two sites the first sutton bank  then later part of the week at Filey

Members of the Mexborough and District , Amateur Radio society are walking the cleveland  way to raise funds for the Cancer research.

The walk is in Memory of late member M3FFK who seccumbed to cancer on the 11th January 2007. G0tla who is the instigator of the walk is the Widower of Denise.

The walk will start Helmsley and end at Filey brig which is on the on the east coast ,and will take seven  days covering a total of 110 miles. The walk will be self contained backpacking.The walk coincides with the 40th aniversary of the cleveland way .We are in close liason with the national park to combine the walk with their celebrations

It is also hoped to to get  other Radio Clubs involved

Also in conjunction with the walk there will be a special event Radio station advertising what we are doing and to direct people to this site to make donations.

The Call Of the Special Event station Is GB40CWW and will operate from the 11th until the 28th july on 2m and Hf bands
