I was born on the 18^th of August in 1972 in Central Switzerland, where I grew up with my two brothers and my parents and attended my compulsory school education. I am married to Elisabeth and have two children, my son Marius and my daughter Daniela and work as an attorney-at-law and notary public. I am mainly active on the HF bands from 40 to 10 meters in CW and SSB with a G5RV and a FT-890 and a SB 200 linear and a TS-480 SAT and an Expert 1K-FA linear. In April 2010 I was active as team member of the 3W6C DXpedition from Con Co Island, Vietnam, IOTA AS-185 mainly in CW. Since July 2011 I held a general class license and my US call was KF5LSF. On the 13th of August 2011 I passed the extra amateur exam and on the 19th of August 2011 my new extra class call sign AE5ZP was issued.

I am the president of the Uri / Schwyz branch of the Union of Swiss Shortwave Amateurs (USKA) and member of the RSGB and ARRL.
