54 years after it's first beginning of operation, Switzerland's last active 50MHz TV broadcasting station "Bantiger" was closed on November 26th, 2007. Thanks to good relationships to owner and authorities, members of HB9BE (Amateurfunkgruppe Burgdorf) were allowed to celebrate this closing by setting up a special event station at Bantiger, using the tower's existing antenna array and an output power of 4kW ERP.

Our equipment was: ICOM IC-7400, PA ACOM 1000.
