HE8? What's HE8
A lot of special prefixes HE8 and HB8 can be heard on air since the beginning of the year 2009 until the end of the year 2009. This is to celebrate the Swiss Amateur Radio Club’s (USKA) 80 years anniversary. Swiss HAM’s are authorized to change their prefixes from HB9 (CEPT-class) to HE8and from HB3 (CEPT Novice) to HB8. Biography I was born in Zurich and I'm licensed since 1990 but since1994 with the current callsign HB9LEU (class I). I’m interested in building my own antennas and equipment and to test and improve them. I work a lot of contests during the year. My favourites are: ARRL int., CQWW and WAE , also many 50 Mc and 144 Mc contests. The most operating modes are CW / SSBbut FM on ten mtrs. I'm doing TM of the Amateur Radio Club Region Reusstal (HB9RR). Visit our homepage www.hb9rr.ch
