Portable radio is a hoot. The above picture is a Photoshop creation. The portable dipole is a Buddipole, an antenna I designed in 2000. The homebrew Buddipole and Buddistick information is here:
https://sites.google.com/ The trike I use regularly for playing HF radio is a Lightfoot Cycle from Montana. The trike is pictured to the right of this text.
Since 2002, my son, Chris, W6HFP, has been running the Buddipole company, a venture that produces commercial ham radio antennas and power products and accessories for the portable op. Buddipole.com is the web address. I go with him to many of the bigger hamfests across the country. My original homebrew Buddipole is still on QSL.net/w3ff. If you worked our "Buddies in the Caribbean" crew from St. Lucia, J6,Dominica, J79 or Grenada, J3, please QSL direct to the op's home call. I will answer any snail mail QSL card, and will also respond to any buro cards that come in from the many DX-Peditions I've been a part of. I don't use EQSL and am not a member. Same with LOTW. For regular W3FF QSO's, if you want a card, please send me one in the mail. Budd Last modified: 2012-03-05 19:39:59, 2692 bytes cached
