I'm a user of HPSDR, High Performance Software Defined Radio enjoying DX CW/SSB QSO. My CW skill is not good, but I 'm on the air in CW mode in a sense that practice makes perfect. This is my shack. A small box above TS-2000 is a HPSDR box.
My HPSDR is composed of receiver Mercury, transmitter Penelope, and controller Metis, besides Alex BPF( currently not used). The output of HPSDR is around 0.5W, then I'm using 100W amplifier controlled by HPSDR. To run 1KW, ACOM2000A is behind the desk, but normally I'm running 100W into 3 elements SteppIR(DB18E). For 80/75 meters band , the antenna is a rotary shortened dipole whose length is 18 meters, up about 26 meters above the ground. It is very small but it works for DX. You can see it in the antenna picture. My workbench is shown below. I make printed boards by myself for projects. It is also my pleasure in additon to operation.
