First licensed in 1976 as VE3IIR. Was very active as a teen, using a Hallicrafters SX-101A receiver and a Johnson Viking II transmitter.

Next rig was the TenTec Argosy purchased while I was in university.

I got back into amateur radio around 1990 while living in Denver and got my extra license AA0FK in 1991. The Extra test included the 20wpm code test at this time.

Recently got back into amateur radio again in 2009. My AA0FK license had expired, so I had to retest to get back to Extra and eventually settled on the vanity callsign AD0DX.

Currently enjoying some contesting. Always enjoy chasing dx.

In April 2012 I visited the National Institute for Amateur Radio in Hyderabad India while in Hyderabad on business.

I was a rover during the 2011 Kansas QSO Party with Bob K1BBR. We will be using the special event callsign K0E. We ran the northern Kansas counties, travelling from east to west on Saturday and then one county to the south on the return trip on Sunday. Our county route is posted on the Kansas QSO party web sitehttp://ksqsoparty.org/. We spent a little too much time on some county lines and finished the contest in Mitchell county.

K0E/M paper qsl's via AD0DX, LOTW and eqsl also supported.

Update March 2012: I will be K0E/M again in the 2012 Kansas QSO party again this year. Put Aug 23/24 2012 on your calendar for another great KS QSO Party.
