Thanks for visiting my page

I am retired from a 30 year career in EMS, but still continue to work in the medical transportation industry. In my off work time, I am an Emergency Management Deputy Director for Montgomery County NY, a volunteer firefighter and of course and avid amateur radio operator. I am also the Vice President of the Tryon Amateur Radio Club in Fulton County NY and the ARES Emergency Coordinator for Fulton County NY.

I am especially proud of the members of the TRYON Amateur Radio Club. These are a great bunch of hams! The dedication they have for their community and each other make belonging to the club very enjoyable. We have a very diverse membership with an unbeliviable knowledge base.

Please stop by our website....www.k2jji.org and check us out! Our main repeater is 146.700 (-) pl 100. We have 3 more repeaters in various planning and construction phases. We operate echolink node 510372 and will soon also have an IRLP node.

I enjoy many operating modes. In addition to VHF and HF, I am currently experimenting with APRS and learning the NBEMS suite of programs. I am also attempting to learn CW!

My home operating station consists of an ICOM 746 PRO to a slinkey dipole antenna in the attic of my apartment building. For VHF and UHF I have an ICOM IC-2800 with a roof mounted omni antenna on the roof. I also have an ICOM IC-2100 being set upp as an APRS digipeater.

Mobile is an Alinco DR-635T Dual Bander and an Alinco DR-135T for APRS

My portable "go kit" set up includes and ICOM 706MIIG and a Yaesu FT-7100 dual bander. I have enjoyed operating "portable" this past summer.
