I was first licensed in 1957 as novice station KN3AFO in Erie, PA

My first equipment consisted of a Heathkit AT-1 transmitter/AR-3 receiver

Held call signs K3AFO (Erie, PA), W1GZI (Hudson, NH), and W2ILU (Middletown, NY)

Operated HZ1AB (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia) and HZ1JN (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) from 1986-1996

I relocated from Tewksbury, MA to Erie, PA on Sep 2010

My favorite band is 10 meters and my modes of operation include SSB, CW, and BPSK 31

Rig consists of Yaesu FT-920, ACOM 1000, and a two element SteppIR on a Force 12 Low Profile Tower

Operating awards for K2OF, K3AFO, and W1GZI include:

- DXCC (325 countries)

- CQ WW Contest Award (W3 Top Score on 14 MHz Phone)

- WAS, WAZ, and RCC
