My QTH is in western Arkansas, (EM25tq) close to the Arkansas-Oklahoma border. I enjoy working 12, 17 and 20 meters SSB during daylight hours, also 40 and 80 meters in the evening. Sometimes 160 meters at night during the winter months, and occasionally 10 meters in the daytime during the hot summer months. My operating habits vary according to season and propagational conditions. If you happen to find yourself in the Greater Fort Smith, Ar. area, I'm the licensee of the K3UNX repeater located on top of Sparks Regional Medical center (My employer). The repeater is open to all properly licensed amateur operators on 146.970 minus offset and P.L. of 123.0. Also, Sparks has a fully functional amateur radio station, and sometimes I can be heard operating from that location on HF as well. My Home Station is in Crawford County, Arkansas in the middle of the Ozark national forest at 1125 ft. Above Sea Level. This area is VERY remote, and unpopulated. Cell phones don't work very well. The image attached to this page is of my cattle pasture after a snowfall. I enjoy DXing, and have started "collecting" countries. I will exchange paper QSLs,and I don't require an S.A.S.E. Also, because I operate from different locations, I like to use QRZ.COM for the majority of my logging.
