Hi, - First licensed in 1969 as WN4NAW - WB4NAW followed in 1970. At that time, the rig was SB301/401 mostly chasing DX - Went through various stages of inactivity and didn't renew my license in time to retain my call. - Was KM4ZJ for approximately 1 month before upgrading to -AB4SL in January 1990. Vanity call of K4QL in Dec of 1996. I mainly enjoy DXing and some dabbling in contests, mostly CW. I just completed 5BWAZ, all 200 zones confirmed and verfied as of 1 March 2010. I have 9BDXCC and I'm working on 6 meter DXCC but still have 40 or so to go. I'm on CW and Phone Honor Roll and I lack about 10 for RTTY Honor Roll. I still need a valid Yemen QSL for #1DXCC. I am currently the vice president of the Smithchart Amateur Radio Society. Our club call is K4OO. We usually put a signal out on Field Day from a cow pasture up in the Virgina mountains. I QSL via LOTW, direct or bureau. An SASE is not necessary. I am slow to respond via the bureau but I do respond. I work for the North Carolina Highway Patrol as a microwave and 800 Mhz radio tech. I worked as a software design engineer for many years at Nortel before working for the patrol. Other hobbies including listening to music and kayaking. I like to travel, too. I'm married to fine lady from ZS-land. We have four adult kids and two grandkids. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to work you soon. 73 de Steve, K4QL
