Hello to all. My name is Wayne and my wife Karen and I have lived in Huntsville, AL for 15 years. After 28 years with Raytheon Co., we joined a small engineering firm to support various DoD contracts. We also enjoy designing new command, control, and communication systems. Shown is one of the projects we were privileged to work on in the past. This is the Customs and Border Protection UH-60M helicopter that is being upfitted with a sophisticated suite of electronics to enhance its mission capability
Below is a 1974 Wilson MT-55 tower that I have restored and re-installed at my QTH. Behind the tower is my new radio room with integrated storm shelter under the floor. I didn't expect to use it as often as I have, but it has been worth its added cost. As you know, on April 27th, 2011, multiple EF5 tornados hit the state of Alabama and many fine people lost their lives. One of those tornados passed very close to our QTH and we were at glad to have our new safe room.
UPDATE!! 9/5/2011
I finally have a picture of the finished shack. It is viewed looking out towards the tower (east). Thanks for visiting and please come back.
73,
Wayne
