Hello All:

My name is Lowell "Fred"erick Pevoto. I go by FRED. I was first licensed in 1953 as WN5BPF and upgraded to general in 1954 as W5BPF. I upgraded to Extra Class in 1976 and got my current callsign K5FP. My first rig was an Eldico TR75 with a single 1625 in the final. My receiver was a S38C. I had two crystals for the transmitter. I have been inactive for several years but recently got back on the air in a small way. I now have a K3,  Icom 746 Pro and TS 940S and an AL 1500 amp. My antennas are a 4 square on 40 meters, A 3 element SteppIR for 20 through 6 meters at 76 feet, a 75 meter diople,a DX77A vertical that I use mostly on 30 meters and I load a 76 foot tower on 80 meter cw. A second 60 foot tower supports a 3 element tri-band beam. I operate 99% CW and like DXing and contesting altough at my age its hard to stay awake for those long ones. I am married to a wonderful lady who is also a ham WD5CHK who holds a general class license. I have one daughter and two beautiful grand daughters. I respond to all QSLs that I receive. I am a user of LOTW.

73 and hope to meet you on the air.

Fred K5FP

6 meters has had a lot of openings. Plenty of beacons, but no humans.
