K5QBM is the club station for the Raytheon Employees Amateur Radio Club.

The club has a fully equipped ham shack in its own building out on our ball field, with twin towers and two operating postitions. In the plant, we also manage a fully appointed Emergency Operations Center with HF, VHF and UHF facilites.

Club facilities include:

* 2 meter FM repeater: 147.84/147.24 Mhz (used by Garland RACES)

* Digipeater: k5qbm-1 on 145.07 MHz

* APRS digipeater: k5qbm-2, on 144.39 MHz

The club was formerly the E-Systems Amateur Radio Club until the company merged with Raytheon in 1995. The trustee is Randy Jennings. KF5LKL. Previous trustees of K5QBM that have since retired include Jerrel Jones W5TUU, Jim Hester K5HTK, Lionel Roach KD5VO, Stan Shutts WB5FOQ and Rich Casey N5CSU.
