First licensed in 1957 as K7HCD. I have been active on the DX bands from Bremerton WA, Renton, WA, Portland OR, Cottage Grove OR, and Bend OR, and now Selah, WA. Have confirmed 353 countries, but only recently submitted for DXCC. In Bend OR I had great antennas. Upgraded to EXTRA (when it meant something with the code test) and dropped the "D" from my K7HCD call sign. BIG ICE STORM and antennas all came down.Licensed 1983 as T31AB in the Phoenix District of Central Kiribati (Canton) and T30BR at Tarawa, and am licensed as DU1/K7HC in the Philippines.

Moved to central Washington and for twenty three years was QRT. Turned it all back on mid 2006

I haveput up a MA-550 rotating mast with a SteppIR 4 element beam. It is fantastic! Also I have constructed a 30/40 meter Hex Beam ( http://www.linehand.com/k7hc-MegaHex.htm) that is giving me amazing results. I now have a quarter wave vertical for 80 meters, together with a full set of radials for a four square. I plan to put up another vertical later for two phased elements, with plans for the final two elements eventually. My station presently consists of an ICOM 7700, and HB amplifier using a single GU74b, or Heath SB-220.
