It started for me when I brought a homebrew telegraph set to school in the sixth grade. I set it up between my desk and a fellow students desk. We sent code using flashlight bulbs for receiving. It took the teacher all of 20 seconds to catch me and send me and my telegraph set to the princpal's office. Instead of being kicked out of class, I thought I should have received an A in science! Fast forward 38 years. I finally sit down and get my ham ticket. I can't keep my hand off of the key. I can be found working CW on 80,40,30 and 17 meters. My antennas consist of a variety of dipoles as well as a 4 element yagi for the WARC bands. My XYL (KD7REU) operates SSB. I'm a member of the A-1 operators club. Fists #8754, CC 1454. Accredited VE. At times I operate as K7KHC/7 from my cabin near Troy, Montana. 73 from the coast of Washington.
