NOTICE ABOUT QSL ADDRESS do NOT use the above address to QSL K8EP. Please use the address shown on the K8EP Web Page when QSLing K8EP.
K8EP is the club call for the Eastern Panhandle Amateur Radio Club (EPARC). The epicenter of the club is Martinsburg, WV which is in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Prior to the issuance of K8EP, EPARC operation was under the call WV8E (our club president's call at the time). EPARC is an ARRL-affiliated club. Our major yearly activities include: Field Day, the September VHF QSO Party, and (in affiliated club competition because we are too whimpy to go out in the cold) the January VHF Sweepstakes. Although our main activities surround contests, our interest is in comradery through ham radio - we may contest a bit, but a good time is always had by all. On November 11, 2008, EPARC proudly sponsored and operated special event station WW1FWB commemorating the 90th anniversary of the armistice of World War I. WW1FWB was set up on the farm of Frank W. Buckles, the last surviving American veteran of that war. QSL's for WW1FWB should be mailed to the address shown for WW1FWB on QRZ.COM . Include a 9-inch x 12-inch self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) for a certificate. QSL cards will not be issued and certificates will not be folded to fit in smaller envelopes. More information about WW1FWB may be found on the K8EP Web Page. Last modified: 2011-01-22 02:37:14, 1648 bytes cached
