Hope you will sign on to Web contact. Leave a message and I will return the greeting. Thanks for looking me up, Inspired in my youth that you could have great fun with electricity, I got my novice license in the 60's at Allied Radio Corp. in Chicago. Built their Knight Kit T-150 transmitter and found a used Hammarlund HQ-180A there. My present station consists of a Yaesu FT-920 and a Kenwood TS-2000, TS-820S, SM-220, AT-200, SP-820, VFO-820, Astron RS-35M, Vibroplex double key, and Signalink USB. Dual monitors with a Compaq Pentium Dual-Core running Vista operating Digipan, Ham Radio Deluxe, Spectrogram 16 and WSJT6. My current antennas are the GAP Challenger DX vertical and True Talk Double G5RV. Occupation: Burlington Northern Santa Fe locomotive engineer. Communications is an all day event with Dispatchers on 5 different railroads, crew members and Tower personnel in Chicago and its suburbs. I bring in trains that are averaging 1 to almost 2 miles long that weigh in at up to 14 million pounds. The locomotives power runs from 4000 horsepower to over 20,000 horsepower depending on needs. Focus and communications is essential for safe movement. To say the least, when I come home and into the laboratory, I can really cut loose and have a grand time. 73, Bob
