The South Sandwich Island DX Group was founded in 1988 By Anthony W.DePrato WA4JQS . Co Founders were Jerry and Joanie Branson AA6BB and KA6V. both of whom are now Silent Keys. In honor too her hard work the SSIDXG memebership reguested her call sign for the club call and it was granted just weeks before Jerry AA6BB her husband also became a silent key. The club station is now located at 521 Jacksboro street Ferguson Kentucky 42533. 5 complete stations make up the 1200 sq ft club house with all mode all bands including sat's . There are also two classic rig stations set up. one a Hallicrafters and the other a Collins for AM operations.
