Hi, Thanks for looking me up!

Perhaps I worked you on one of the many modes I enjoy which include HF & VHF SSB, PSK, and other digital modes.

Ham radio has always been my favorite hobby. My earliest memory at 2 years old was listening to morse code from my Dad's headphones. He was W2YEN (sk)from Camden, NJ. I now have two sons and 5 Grandkids and a very understanding wife.

I was first licensed as a Novice in 1966 at the age of 15 with the call sign of WN2WVC.

I then upgraded to General class in 1967 as WB2WVC and subsequently upgraded to Advanced in 1987 and was assigned my present call of KC2TN. Evenually I upgraded to Extra in 1997 and decided to retain my KC2TN call.

My station has seen many changes over the years but now consists of a Flex 5000A exciting a Tokyo HyPower 2.5Kfx amplifier. My 756ProII is now used mostly as a backup. My VHF station for 2M, 432mhz and 1296ghz consists of an Icom 910H for tropo and satellite work. A converted SB220 amp provides 1KW of kick on 6 meters.

I'm currently a member of ARRL, SJRA, FRC, Packrats, 10-10 (#38711) and hold DXCC, VUCC, WAS and WAZ awards.

Antennas on the self supporting 80' tower are an M2 2el 40M beam topped with an M2 18XXX 2M beam at 90', and M2 21el 432 beam at 85' and a Directive Systems 45el 1296 Loop Yagi at 82'. A Diamond X500HNA 2M/440 Dual Band Vertical at 60' provides local VHF repeater access.

On the NEW 72' US Tower TX472MDP is the 4el SteppIR which is finally in the air after sitting in my garage for 2 years.

In addition to the base station, I also run an Icom 7000 mobile in my 2007 Honda Ridgeline with a Scorpion 680S screwdriver antenna. The display output from the Icom 7000 is routed to my GPS screen on the dash. It's switchable from the Normal GPS/Audio screen to the radio. I recently added the Kenwood TM-D700 so I could listen to HF and VHF simultaneously.

Check out KC2JVJ on QRZ also!

Pictured are my son and my grandson (Ryan)A junior ham in training!
