Oct 2005 The picture is the 140ft Rohn 55 40Meter tower with a pair of Cushcraft 402CD's at 70 and 140ft.

The Double Double Radio Ranch club and contest station is located approximately 100km northeast of Dallas, TX. It is 11+ acres and is owned and operated by N5QQ and W5WW. KC5FU is located in HUNT COUNTY and is NOT at the 9413 Hermosa residence in Dallas.

The station is continually under construction. Four monoband towers and one multiplier tower have been erected. As of Spring '09 the 10m tower is @ 100ft, the 15M is @ 130ft, the 20M is @ 100ft, the 40M @ 140ft plus the MULT tower @ 60ft. The 10m and 15m towers will eventually have a three-high stack of homebrew 5 element 0.7WL OWA yagi's. The 20m tower is a two-high stack and may get to 3 high in the near future. All 4 monoband towers use homebrew sidemounts and homebrew-modified-prop-pitch rotors with m2 Digital Controllers, but starting late 2008 we have been slowly converting them to Orion 2800 rotors and Green Heron controllers. Presently installed on the monoband towers are three 5 elem 10M at 35/70/100ft, two 5 elem 15m at 90/135ft, a stack of 5 elem 20m at 55ft and 105ft, plus a stack of 2 elem 40m at 70 and 140ft. On the low bands there is an 80m dipole at 100ft and a 160m Inverted "L". We have one NE beverage we use mainly for 80m.

The MULT tower now has a homebrewed MOXON(W6NL design) at 75ft and a Cushcraft X7 at 65ft.

NOTE:Please send QSL's and other postal type mail to 9413 Hermosa Dr Dallas, TX 75218.
