First experience with HAM radio was in 1970 while volunteering at the "Light & Life Hour" radio program. Spoke to a missionary in Africa from Winona Lake, Indiana. Started reading CQ and "73" magazines after this experience. Joined the US Army in 1972 seven days after graduation from International College, COBOL programming when Uncle Sam sent a letter to me . Attended electonics courses at Ft. Devens military occupation series 33 (Army Security Agency). Sent to border site Mount Meissner in Germany, and more training on digital equipment, at the National Security Agency, Abrams building in Frankfurt. After the Meissner unit closed became a radar repairman on HAWK missile systems. NATO evaluator at NAMFI on Crete Greece 1985 - 1988. Retired in 1994 from the Directorate of Information Management at Fort Hood, TX and have been employed at the Texas Atty Gen office as a network systems techician.
