Via a Black Hawk pilot broken down on Sweers Island (IOTA OC-227):
Fried bananas: Take a fresh banana. Use a sharp knife to slit through the skin, almost all the way through, but NOT out the other side. Then take several squares of your favourite chocolate (the Choc Melts you can buy for cooking work best, but any chocolate will do the job) and push them in the side to fill that pocket. Place the bananas on the Barbeque after all the meats etc have cooked, and when you are finished eating dinner, the dessert will be ready! The banana, softens inside the skin, the starches turn to sugar, it is yummy and sweet and the chocolate melts into a sauce, mmmmmmm!
