The above 4 photos are of my ham shack when I was living in Englewood, Colorado in 2011.The bottom right photo
Shows my SignaLink USB unit in transmit mode during a 30 watt PSK-31 transmission. Note the RF power indication
on the MFJ-949E tuner SWR-Watt Meter and Yaesu FT-950 power output meter but no indication on the FT-950
ALC meter which is the way it should be for PSK-31 transmission in order to keep the signal clean and narrow!

These 2 photos are of my current ham shack set up here in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Antenna being used is a 40 meter dipole and tuned to other bands with MFJ tuner.

My current log from HRDLOG.NET

My Station Equipment Information

My HF Transceiver: Yaesu FT-950

Accessories: Yaesu DMU-2000 Data Management Unit, Yaesu Model MD-100 base Microphone, Matching Yaesu external extension speaker for FT-950 and Yaesu remote control keypad model FH-2 for FT-950, A GHD model GT706KIT straight key for CW ops. Plan to get a CW keyer paddle for the FT-950 built in keyer some time in the future.

Digital interface for digital modes: Signalink USB (Integrated USB sound Card.) I use the Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD) Version 5 software for the digital modes such PSK-31 and RTTY as well as for Computer Aided Tuning (C.A.T.) for PC remote control of the Yaesu FT-950 HF rig. I also use the HRD logbook for electronic logging.

Modes of operation: I mostly operate PSK-31 and some JT65 on 40 and 20 meters and some of the other higer bands and  occasional CW or SSB.

Antenna: Currently using a 40 meter inverted Vee dipole up 14 feet at the apex and fed through an MFJ- 918 1:1 balun at the center feed point.

Other Information

I have been licansed as an amateur radio operator since September of 1967 when I was still a 16 year old high school student. Some of my previous call signs I have held have been WN7IOK, WA7IOK, WD6DLD and KA7DHU. I earned my Extra class license in 1980 and became KI7F. For more information about my past amateur radio career, you can go to my history page on my home website at http://ki7f.com/history.htm I also have a radio hobby blogging page at http://ki7f2.blogspot.com/

I use the eQSL service for exchanging QSL cards. I also can receive "paper" QSL cards via my Post Office Box in Spanish Fork, Utah that is listed above at the top of the page, but I would prefer eQSL if possible.
