A Little Bit About Me

The approaching sunspot peak finally prompted me to get my ham radio license in 2011 (General Class).

I have been listening to shortwave broadcast and utility transmissions for almost 20 years. Although I haven't built any of my current ham rig, I have built many receivers, amplifiers and digital clocks from kits with a particular focus on circuits that use vacuum tubes.

I operate primarily out of Miami and occasionally out of WV during the summer and winter holidays.

• inverted V dipoles cut for 15, 20and 40m (in Miami, 20m pictured above)
