Hello everyone my name is Richard ( Rick for short on the radio), I first got interested in radio at the age of 11 on CB radio (11 meters) and in1999 I past the RAE and got my call sign. I then worked on VHF/UHF until the need for Morse was dropped, I'm now active on most bands but I do use the HF bands more these days.

My main station radio is a FT-1000mp with matching sp-8 speaker and MD-200 microphone I have an off centre dipole for 80 and 40 although it does work very well on all bands also. I have a Butternut HF5B mini beam for 20-10 meters to put up sometime this year, hopefully at around 40ft high, I also run a vertical Imax 2000 CB antenna on 17 and 10 meters.

As with most things I have many more plans for my station but at the minute not enough time and good weather to make things happen as fast as I'd like.

Thank you for looking me up on QRZ

73's

Rick
