       My name is Robbie and i live four miles from the city of Newry which is in the South East part of Northern Ireland.Newry is about 35 miles south from Belfast and is located on the border with the Irish Republic.I have been on the Radio since 1980 but i am a ham Radio Operator from December 2006 when i passed my Foundation exam,and i owe a big thanks to the Mid Ulster Amatuer Radio Club for their help.I hope to sit the Intermediate exam with the culb sometime in the future.Ireally like to work HF and love the DXing aswell.We also use FM for local qso's and would work through Echo-link from time to time.

       My Station comprises of simple but effective equipment.My Radio is Icom ic7700 supplied by Waters&Stanton and my antenna is a 3 element yagi made by steppIR and supplied by Vine communications.The Rotator is Pro.sis.tel pst61d.My FM station just uses the Icom ic706mk2g and a sharmans x-510 vertical antenna.We also use a g5rv for 40 and 80 meters.
