Clyde "Mac" McDaniel went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2011.
Mac was born in Cincinnati to Clyde and Loretta McDaniel. He attended Fayetteville and Cincinnati schools and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was paralyzed in a car accident in 1973. He later married Marilyn Kavan in Morse Bluff and she cared for him until his death at home. He had a son, two daughters and a grandson. He was a born-again Christian and was a Ham Radio operator with an Extra Class Licensee.
He is survived by: his wife, Marilyn; his son Clinton; daughters, Shanna and Angela; and a grandson, Caleb, all from Morse Bluff; in-laws, Leonard and Patricia Kavan; brothers and in-laws, Jerry M., Mark (Kelli) and Jeff, Gene (Deb), Jerry and Larry; sisters and in-laws, Betty Ferguson, Ruby Morrison, Joanne (Ray) Wilson, Pam (Bill) Harroll, Stacy (Steve) Camden and Bev (Skeeter) Ratkovec; and many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles on both sides.
Mac was preceded in death by his parents and many relatives.
The graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. A potluck Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m. at the VFW Club in North Bend.
