Hello and Thanks for the QSO! I had to upgrade to 20wpm Extra to get this call that 'matches' my name, NØVK. [Yes, NØVAK was already taken!] I am a 20 wpm EXTRA!

I'm proud of my youngest son and his wife. They both got their Ham tickets. Nathan is KBØYFX and Miriam is KCØNMY. Rachel, my daughter, is KCØUNK and her husband Jared is KCØPXR. The XYL? Well, God still works miracles you know!

From my home QTH I run a Yaesu FT-857D with various tuners. Antenna is an inverted "L". I have acquired a 20 meter Bazooka and it works great and has great 'ears'. If i am on 20 meters I will most probably be on the Bazooka! Any other bands, I will be on the inverted "L".

30 meter QRP/CW is my 'cup of tea'. I run an MFJ 9030 that I power with a home made NiMh 4.5 AH battery pack. Also, I have and MFJ Cub for 20 meters. Other radios include MFJ 9017 and MFJ 9420.

I have built an aluminum vertical for my van and it works great on 30 and up!

I like scanning VHF and UHF bands with my Pro-2006 scanner. For hand held scanning I run a Yaesu VR-500. I do some SWLing on this scanner with a 21/2 foot antenna. These are both great scanners.

I run an Alinco DR-605-TQ dual band in the shack and a Yaesu FT-90R in the car. My Yaesu FT-60 is parked near by or with me on my walks.

One of my frequent skeds is with a group of Christian hams operating on the ARMS net, (Amateur Radio Missionary Service) Monday through Saturday on 14.307.5 MHz at 0800-1000 Mnt. Stop in and visit us!

In the Denver Metro area, I can also be found on the RMRL's 145.220 (103.5 CTCSS) or the 449.450 (103.5 CTCSS).
