I was always into radios ever since I was young, first listening to my father's
police scanner and later my grandfather's old Hallicrafters SX-110. I was first
licensed at 15 in 1995 as a No Code tech. I was fairly active on 2M during high
school, and continued in college as a member of the Northeastern University
Wireless Club. After graduating college in 2003, I drifted away from radio, but
after about a 4 year hiatus, the bug bit again and I upgraded to General, and
plunged back into the hobby.
You can often hear me on AO-51 during weekend and evening passes over the USA's
east coast. I use an FT-60 hooked into a K5OE handi-tenna to receive and a
FT-7800 in my car to transmit. My grid square is FN41.
I am also active on SSB, PSK31, and occasionally SSTV on 20M during weekends
and evenings. I run TS-120S at 100W into a homemade Dipole.
Locally, you can usually find me mornings and evenings on either the Scituate,
RI (146.760-), Fairhaven, MA (145.490- 67.0PL), or Dartmouth, MA (147.000+
67.0PL) repeaters.
Feel free to give me a call if you hear me. I'm always up for a QSO.
I respond to *ALL* QSLs. If you include a return postage, I will likely send it
within a few days of receipt. If you wish to send SASEs, please do not include
small envelopes as my QSLs do not fit. I also upload all HF QSOs onto LotW.
