* I have had an interest in QRP dating back to the mid 1960's when I connected the matching external VFO of my Johnson Viking II directly to an antenna and used it as a low power 80M transmitter. I built a Heathkit HW-8 in 1976 and still use it occasionally. In April 2005 I acquired a used Elecraft K1 and have been hooked on Elecraft/QRP ever since. The K2 was added in December 2006 and the KX1 in January 2009. My main DX interest is now working new "rig countries" with each of the Elecraft transceivers.
