QTH NR Charlotte, NC at Lake Norman State Park. As background, I was a long time SWL (40 YRS) and decided to try ham radio. I have thoroughly enjoyed the ham radio hobby since I got my ticket in October 2002, but I still listen to international broadcasts, spy number stations and other interesting transmissions with my Drake R8,. My only ham mode is CW. (I think I may still have a mic for my FT920 in a drawer around here somewhere!) Also caught the QRP bug and built several kits: Elecraft's K1, Small Wonder Labs' DSW-IIs, PSK 31-20 and a Rockmite. I recently rebuilt an old TenTec Century 21 that immediately became my "daily driver." Its 20 watts make it QRO from a QRP perspective-- and I am having a blast -- even though limited by an indoor multi-band attic dipole antenna. Earned ARRL DXCC with 100% LoTW QSLs; FISTS 9790; SKCC 5137 I also enjoy fishing, mountain biking and woodworking. See me (on the right) hanging out with Roy Underhill of The Woodwright's Shop in the photo above. QSL via eQSL or LoTW -- all logs uploaded regularly; SRI no paper QSLs. 73 ES GOD BLESS U ES URS SK di dit Last modified: 2012-05-25 15:59:01, 1305 bytes cached
