2009-08-27 - Time for a bit of an update, I have added a FlexRadio-3000 to the systems here. I am using it Mobile, portable, and at the home location. So far, I am finding very flexable, great receiver that allows for very steep skirts on the filtering. Intefacing has gone exceptionally, well. I am using a laptop that allows very portable and mobile use. Bluetooth headsets can be used via the laptop. A great setup to allow me to get on more, as I work.
In 2004, I added a 72 Foot Tower with a new set of Quads. The lower Quad is a Cubex Mantis II. It has 2 Elements on 40 and 30 Meters with 4 Elements 20,17,15,12, and 10 Meters. The next up is a 4 Element 6 Meters and 8 Elements on 2 Meters Quad. Next up is a 440 Mhz Yagi. On the top is a 6 meter on up discone. The antenna systen was started in February of 2003 and completed on September 7, 2003. It has been a pleasure to work many stations with these antennas. The rigs being used are a TS-850S by Kenwood and an FT-817 Yeasu.
I came back to Amatuer Radio in 1990. I host the International TCP/IP Gateway Robot at the fuller.net site. I was the Montana Section Emergency Coordinator from October 1995 to April 2008.
