I’ve been a licensed radio amateur since 1991 originally as KD6DYE and later as N9VPX. I’m currently one of the PAPA System’s D-Star Net Control Operators on Reflector 12B on Tuesday nights @ 20:00 PST. I’ve been a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Disaster Communications Service (DCS) and Los Angeles Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). I’ve also volunteered on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.

In my working career I’ve been a Military Police Officer & Ohio Deputy Sheriff, a Quality Assurance Technician in nuclear & fossil power plants, a Quality Engineer in the Aerospace Industry and now work for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on navigation and air-to-ground communication systems.
