I first became interested in radio at 10 or so with my first pair of walkie talkies and hooked them to a TV antenna and talked 4 or 5 blocks to my friend with the other walkie talkie. I got interested in 1968 or 69 in CB radio when I met one of the big time CB guys in Northern Calif. I had friends that left the CB radio in the 80s when CB went bad and got into Ham Radio and I was hooked on Ham Radio.

I was first licensed as:

 KB6EJE as a Novice on March 20, 1984. I got N6QMM as a Technician on Oct. 13, 1987. Then I upgraded to General on July 26, 1988 In 90 days got my Advanced on Oct. 11, 1988  I changed my call to NQ6MM in 2008, and then up graded to Extra Class in Sept. 2009 and changed  my call for the last time and am now NQ6M.
