
I started in amateur radio in 2002 with the callsign ZZ2TKB. From 2004 I started using the call sign PY2VZ.
I live in Barrinha, a small city in northern São Paulo, in the macro region of Ribeirao Preto city.
My main activities are contest and DX also do the digital modes.CW little practice at low speeds, while encouraging those who are entisiastas this mode.

History
Barrinha was a small river port of Rio Mojiguaçu. His first homes were built around the station Paulista Railroad, which was owned by the Agricultural Finance Co. St. Martin that in consequence of the coffee crisis, decided to subdivide the area and started a small settlement in 1930 .
Barry is known affectionately as "Princess of Mogi". They say his name originated because of this river port, and that his great clay favored the establishment of various ceramics, and these two factors: Ceramics and the railroad made the town grew rapidly. His Emancipation Policy Administration, took place on 30 December 1953. Its first inhabitants were workers of the Agricultural Finance Company own St. Martin, Italian and Japanese immigrants.
