I was born in 1966 and got my license on 1990. My major ham activities are RTTY contesting, IOTA style DX-peditioning, award hunting and DXing, emergency communications, but I also like JOTAs, Field days, and the new PSK31 mode. I have been an operator in many multi-op stations, including SV1SV, SZ1SV & SX1A (RAAG HQ club station calls in 1990-95), SX1MBA (1995 Averof Memorial Battleship), SX8LSV (1990 Lesvos Petrified Forest Expedition, IOTA EU-049), J49GI (1992 Gavdos Isl. expedition, IOTA EU-001), guest op at SV5BYS (1995 RTTY WWDX contest), SV1BDO/SV8 (1993 IOTA contest from Salamina isl, IOTA EU-075) and some JOTA calls (J41A, J41B, J44J).
As a member of the Hellenic Amateur Radio Emergency Service (HARES), among other activities, I have been participated in the TA9EQ multi-national station during the Erzincan earthquake in Turkey (1992), operating together with Turkish (TA1E, TA1BU etc) and Greek radio amateurs (SV1RD & SV1BDO). My portable operations in Greece include SV1BDO/7 from the city of Alexandroupolis (Aug 1995- Sep 1996) and currently (since 2008) as SV1BDO/3 from the city of Egio (KM18AG). SV1BDO/3 Station Description Transceiver: Kenwood TS-480 SAT, 100W Amplifier: (when used) single tube GU-43b amp (made by SV1ELU), 400W out. Antennas: a) Home-made 2 element QUAD for 20-17-15-12-10m on a 12m telescopic tubular tower (made by SW3IBS), b) Butternut HF2V (home-mame clone) for 80-40-30m, elevated at 2m with 12 radials. Software: N1MM Logger for operation, MMVARI or MMTTY engines for DATA modes, Logger32 for logbook kepping, BV7 for QSL printing, VE7CC cluster software (when used). SX3B - Since 1 Jan 2011, I have got permition to use the special call SX3B. QSL is OK via LOtW, eQSL(AG) and direct, sorry no bureau at this moment. See QRZ.com for more details about QSL information for this call. *** QSL INFORMATION *** I upload ALL my QSOs to LoTW & eQSL (AG). If you need a paper QSL from me, you can send it via the bureau. I reply them once per year. If you need it earlier, you can send it direct to my home address, with SASE please. ALL logs are also uploaded in CLUBLOG.
