Born in 1965, licensed ham radio operator since 1991;Base, superior and code 12WPM. Also the owner of the callsign VA2GV. HF Rig: Kenwood TS-50, AT-50 tuner, using a 64' long wire about 25' above the ground. I work all bands from 80 to 10 meters, mainly active these days on 80 meters for the local nets, and on 20 meters using PSK-31. For the digital modes, I currently use Ham Radio Deluxe / Digital Master 780 V4.1. For VHF/UHF: Ihave a Icom ID-800H D-Star radio in the shack, and a Icom IC-91AD portable D-Star radio. Using an old Icom IC-3220H dual band radio in the car. I am active on VHF and UHF on local repeaters; mainly VE2RIG (146,880 MHz T100.0),VE2RVD (146,610 MHz T100.0) and using D-Star on VE2RQT (144,950 MHz) I am also the sysop of the VE2RIG-R Echolink node (node number 39339). This node is a my house and connects to the VE2RIG repeater on the Pierre Laporte Bridge in Quebec city using an old Midland 8 channels VHF radio. I am a member of the Club Radio Amateur de Québec Inc. (Quebec city Ham Radio Club), which celebrated last year it's 85th birthday of foundation. In the past, I did for them some net control operation and emergency communications, as well as some duties as net operators manager and webmaster. I'm currently the net control operator for tuesday nets locally I currently do QSL's via eQSL.cc. I have no QSL cards at the moment, but plan to have some made in the future. I can receive these Direct or via the Bureau. I am also registered on LOTW, currently learning how to use it so please be patient.
