Im 75 years old and was licensed in 1992 but just upgraded to HF 10 years ago. All of my present antennas are homebrew and have one radio, an Icom 706. I enjoy working bpsk31/63, Olivia, MFSK, RTTY, and made contacts all over the globe on min. wattage. I will answer eqsl and qsl cards direct that I receive, plus the bureau. And of course I enjoy camping and the open road, wellll it was more open 50 years ago, hi.
A must see is a camping trip up the Alcan highway through B.C., Yukon, and most of Alaska. Down on the road is where its all happening (and shaking hi). Don't miss Dawson City and the"top of the world highway" including Chicken AK, and keep both eyes on the road, its not for the faint of heart.
