Hi Everybody. I started out in radio as a "DXer", picking up distant stations on the radio. In the Vancouver area here, I would hear stations such as WWL Radio 870 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and got quite intrigued by this. I started hearing more and more of these distant stations and this activity got me into other radio-related activities such as short-wave listening and CB radio. I was quite active in this part of the spectrum (27 MHz) and even had a callsign, which they had in those days, for that band. I eventually learned about Amateur Radio, and pursued that. These days I can be found mostly on the 2-meter band. Look forward to working you on the airwaves and receiving QSL's. 73's Dave VE7IFO Monitor 147.040 MHz (VE7RCH) and 145.150 MHz (VE7ROX) in the Vancouver, BC area.
